Gloucester Civic Trust's friendly fully qualified volunteer guides undertake walking tours of the historic City and the docks.
'From Roman times to the present day, Gloucester is one of

HISTORIC CITY WALKS - The Gloucester Experience

We invite you to discover the hidden treasures of this intriguing ancient city. Take a journey with us through 2000 years of history following in the footsteps of Roman soldiers, Saxon rulers and medieval kings. Discover Bishop Hooper, Robert Raikes, Beatrix Potter, and many other famous and fascinating characters from Gloucester's past. See the Cathedral where Harry Potter's Hogwarts School was filmed.
Daily Monday to Saturday from Saturday 9th June until 9th September at 2.00pm.

Meet at the Tourist Information Centre, Southgate Street
where tickets can be purchased.

Price £2.50 per person (which goes to the Trust projects)

DOCKS WALKS

We invite you to take a guided walk around the most inland port in England to see how this Victorian Dockland area has been transformed from a thriving commercial port to an exiciting centre for visitors, chosen by television and film companies as an ideal location for period maritime productions. Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday June 9th until Sunday 9th September (and Bank Holiday Monday), starting at 2.00pm from the main entrance to the North Warehouse.

Easter Bank Holiday tours also start at 2.00pm on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday from the entrance to the North Warehouse.

It is not necessary to book. Price £2.50 per person (which goes to Trust projects) Tours last about 1 hour

SPECIAL AND GROUP TOURS

Special tours and group visits can be arranged for any time during the year. These can be designed to suit individual or party requirements.
The price of these booked tours is £2.00 per person, there is a minimum charge of £20.00. If required, City and Docks tours may be combined, or follow one another with a break, to achieve a longer guided event.
